Trick5 – Google adds more channels to YouTube TV, but service gets more expensive – Trick5

YouTube TV is a relatively new service that’s been launched in some regions in the the United States. We’ve been reporting about YouTube TV since its launch and the service is now available in more than 40 markets in the US.

In order to benefit from YouTube TV, customers must pay a $35 monthly fee. Then, they will get access to live TV from major broadcast networks, popular cable networks, as well as premium networks. On top of that, the service enables subscribers to watch various shows from YouTube creators and YouTube Red Originals.

To make it easier for subscribers to watch their favorite shows whenever they wish, YouTube TV service includes DVR without storage space limits. All that for just $35 per month.

Unfortunately, Google has just confirmed that the YouTube TV service will cost $40/month after March 13. The good news is current members and customers who subscribe before March 13 won’t have to pay the increased monthly fee.

One of the reasons could be the fact that Google will add a number of new channels from Turner to its YouTube TV service, such as TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies. In addition, subscribers will also get access to NBA TV and the MLB Networks.

Keep in mind that if you sign up to YouTube TV via iTunes, the service will cost $39.99 + tax/month, so avoid it if you can.
